It was a nice surprise when, two years ago, the holm oak leaves below the yellow fungus found in the form trubice. How is my mushroom adventure was just the beginning days I studied harvested mushrooms, read the descriptions in the book, looking at pictures on the internet .... Even in my sleep I was not hoping to our dry, rocky terrain to find the acclaimed delicatessen balduccis and mushroom - Chanterelles , Cantharellus cibarius.
Branched veins ... instead of ballots in the right chantarelles ... Last year did not occur because the fall was no rain. This fall, warm and wet, have grown into a modest number, in late October. Chanterelles have a form trubice. They vary in color from golden yellow to soft yellow with white areas on the cap. The most important morphological characteristics of the veins on the lower side which is down the stem, therefore, there is no mushroom slices balduccis or strips. It has a pleasant smell of fungi. In the literature, I find the fact that they have a fruity fragrance, this is not the case with the southern Chanterelles. At the same time appears vamp, Omphalatus balduccis olearius by hasty collectors replaced with Chanterelles. Vamp is toxic and causes severe vomiting and diarrhea. With a little attention can easily see the difference - chantarelle no section of the colored liquid droplets and vamp creates a brown-orange liquid and paint hands. Vamp has a true leaves balduccis under the cap and Chanterelles branched veins. They differ by the smell, vamp has a sharp, unpleasant odor.
